Hello,
We are an engineering company located in Jessup, Maryland. Â We have a SQL Server 2012 system set up on our network.
We are wondering: Â what is the difference between local and global temp tables? Â Does your company have experience working with these types of tables?
Rich
Hello Rich,
Good question- Many people do not know the difference between local and global temp tables.
Global temp tables are available to all users regardless of connection. Global tables remain active until all global connections are closed.
Local tables on the other hand are accessible to a given current user who is connected to the server. Local tables disappear once that user has disconnected from the server.
If you have any additional questions, please let me know. Thanks for your interest!
