I want to be able to have a variable with a fixed number of digits. If the variable is less than the fixed number of digits I want to add some leading zeros. For example if I have a number 7654321 and I want the fixed number of digits to be eight the resulting variable should be 07654321
Is there a PHP function for that?
Thank

Hi Will
I would like to add something like “last updated the xx/xx/200x” on my page.
Can you tell me what the best way to do that is? Are there any functions that will retrieve the last updated date?
Kim from Rockville
Although CCD does most of its work using Microsoft products, many people come to us asking about LAMP. The standard reasons for selecting LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) instead of combination of other software programs, servers and operating systems include:
All of those are open source resource. Security of linux can be much greater than that for windows. Apache can be a better server that IIS both in functionality and security. Mysql is the most popular open source database in the world. PHP is faster than asp or other scripting language.

Hello,
I have a client with an on-line database of “parts” (for argument’s sake let’s say they are car parts).  Their current database seems to be reaching its capacity, as it is working less and less reliably with the accumulated high quantity of “car parts” it is working with.  I am not a computer consultant (I help the client with business matters) but really want to help my client get this matter under control.  Does your company work with PHP?  If not, are you familiar with any Washington DC PHP programming firms?  Washington DC is supposed to be a technology hub, but we are having difficulty finding a company with the appropriate expertise to help us out.  I’m thinking that for PHP Washington DC is maybe not a  hub?  Prove me wrong!  Thanks in advance,
JJ (private consultant)
Hello,
We are in dire need of PHP and MySQL help in the Gaithersburg area! Â We have a system that we use to communicate with our customers, and it has some annoying quirks that we would like fixed. Â First, the information shared with the clients is not the right fields (hope I’m using the correct terms here?). Â Second, the fields that it does show to the clients are not updateable or editable by the clients. Â Our system is proprietary, so we would want you to do all of the work on our computers without copying the data. Â Is that a problem? Â We would prefer to have meeting in our building as well. Â Please advise us regarding your availability. Â This has gone on too long!
